What's Up For Kids was founded in 1995 based on the need of finding information about local events and activities - all in one place. What started as a 4 page newsletter and 1000 copies has grown to a 32 page full color glossy magazine with a print count of 20,000. Michael lives in Redondo Beach with his wonderful wife and their beautiful children, the stars of "On Dad's Watch." Michelle Noyola, Column Writer, Cookin' Corner

Michelle is Chef and owner of Home Appetit Personal Chef Service. She received her Bachelors Degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University and is a graduate of the United States Personal Chef Institute. Growning up among her Italian relative in Philadelphia instilled in her a passion for good food and entertaining.

Michelle started cooking in early childhood next to her mother and great aunt, and as a pre-teen was given the freedom to experiment in the kitchen. From there her passion grew, and her love of food, friends and family has kept her cooking. Shehas been creating meals and throwing parties for friends and family for more then 20 years.

When Home Appetit was established in 2001, Michelle spent several years focused on the Personal Chef aspect of her business, primarily cooking dinners for clients. It was in 2006, when asked by some of her children's classmates is she would teach them, she began to teach cooking classes for kids and teens. As a mother of two teenage boys, she knows the importance of healthy eating and loves to teach kids how to use fresh ingreients to create delicious meals and desserts.
