Happy 4th of July!

Here are some fun things going on around the South Bay and Greater Los Angeles for your family this Independence Day!!

Redondo Beach – Seaside Lagoon

Gates open at 2pm, Fireworks at 9pm.

Enjoy live bands, arts and crafts, inflatable obstacle course, Jim Gamble Puppet Show and more.  Food available for purchase.  Tickets start at $15 for kids over 10-adult.  Kids 3 and under are free, ages 4-10 share a seat tickets available.  www.redondofireworks.com

Torrance – Wilson Park

2200 Crenshaw Blvd.

Open 11am, Fireworks at 9pm.

A fun day for all featuring entertainment, train rides, games, food booths and more.  A parking fee will be charged for on-site parking at Wilson Park.  Free public parking with free shuttle buses from Del Amo Fashion Center & Torrance Civic Center. (310) 618-2930

City of Rancho Palos Verdes
(no fireworks - daytime activities only)

July 4 City of RPV presents 35th Annual Independence Day Celebration 11am -5pm at the Civic Center 30940 Hawthorne Blvd, RPV.  Traditional day of family fun including rides, games, shopping, food, music,  helicopter rides and more.  (310) 544-5260.

Long Beach – Queen Mary

Saturday and Sunday – Fireworks Sunday at 9pm

This Long Beach landmark is hosting a two-day “BBQ, Brews and Red, White and Blues” cookout celebration with 'cue from Carolina, Texas, Kansas City and St. Louis. The fun takes place Saturday, July 3 and Sunday, July 4 from 11am-9 pm with a build-your-own strawberry shortcake station, a kids' bounce house, face painters and other strolling entertainers, a spectacular fireworks show on Sunday night at 9pm and dancing under the stars with a live DJ on the ship’s stern from 7pm-11pm. Marina Del Rey – Fisherman’s Village

3755 Fiji Way, Marina Del Rey, CA 90292

Fireworks at 9pm.

Beginning at 9pm, this traditional fireworks show over Marina del Rey's main channel is free to the public. Show up early and enjoy one of the waterfront restaurants with the family or have a picnic at nearby Burton Chase Park or one of the local beaches. Fisherman's Village has great viewing spots, but any water view seat is a good one!

Greater Los Angeles – Rosebowl

1001 Rose Bowl Dr, Pasadena, CA 91103

Gates open at 12noon – fireworks at 9pm.

Considered the largest fireworks show in the state, the Rose Bowl will be celebrating "Americafest 2010" with food, family fun and musical performances. Festivities begin at 12pm with the fantastic fireworks finale starting at 9pm. More than 25,000 people are expected to show up, so be prepared for a little shoulder bumping.Tickets are $13 general admission; active military and children 7 and under are free.
